52100 Chrome Steel Balls (Bearing Steel Balls)

We offer balls in sizes ranging from 0.010″ to 8.0″ diameter, with grades from Grade 5 to Grade 1000 available

AISI Type 52100 Chrome Steel is ideal for dry grinding and milling applications that do not require corrosion resistance. This low alloy chrome steel features excellent wear resistance, high hardness, superior surface characteristics, and dimensional precision.  It is the preferred material for balls across numerous applications requiring through-hardening and high load-bearing capacity.

Hardened to 60-65 Rockwell Scale and are hardened all the way through the ball.

52100 Chrome Steel is the industry standard material for precision ball bearings due to its exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue life.
